most bb 8220 update problem naeencounter natin some says its hadware but its not some says usb port, cable but its not the problem. when flashing bb 8220 in desktop manager it stops from the middle and it shows an error as you monitored that the handset automatically disconnect and an error shows like

Uncaught Exception:
Java .Lang.nullPo
Inter Exception
Unable to reconnect to device during a multi stage load operation...

for 20 times of flashing of different firmware in desktop manager and application loader always stops and shows error 507 or 561 in handset. so here is some trick hope will help a lot to all.

tools
for error 561 must wipe out first using JLC or BBSAK application
usb cable micro for 8220
desktop manager 4 or higher
battery 100% full charge

install first firmware of bb
install desktop manger
delete vendor xml at program files/common files/research in motion/apploader/ vendor.xml

procedure

1 dismantle mobile handset remove the flexible cable of sim socket and memory card and assmble again without it.
2 open BBSAK or JLC for wiping out mabile handset connect handset power on to pc showing error 561 then click wipe out w8 till it says complete. after that it will reboot and it will show error 507. now disconnect cable remove battery. then connect again the battery w8 till it shows error 507. when it appears in the screen connect usb. then proceed for flashing.
3 now for flashing be sure that you delete vendor disable internet no other tools connected in usb port open desktop manager i use 4.15 version for easy to handle tick application loader, you will see Update Applications tick start and will display for the pin and password of mobile handset for the password leave it blank and hit ok. desktop manager will do the rest
w8 till handset reboots and working fine.

why i remove the flex cable of sim socket/memory? so simple because when mobile handset connected to pc it detects as mass storage device that may cause interruption for flashing
that may connect-disconnect in rebooting a handset, to connect a mobile device so i decided to remove it for better stable connections.

to all blackberry for error flashing or updating be sure that your mobile handset you must disable mass storage
select pc connections for avoiding error 507 561 523 547 message.
tested 100%
