Upgrade Instructions

To upgrade your Tattoo stick for voice calls, follow these steps:

Insert the Tattoo stick into a vacant USB port.
Download the firmware and software upgrade from the Tattoo site. Save it on a folder on your PC (preferably the Desktop, so that you won't have problems finding it).
Double-click the file with "Update" first to launch the firmware upgrade wizard.
Read through and accept the license agreement. Click "Next" to continue. The wizard will then search for the USB stick.
Click "Next" on the succeeding dialog boxes, and click "Start" on the update wizard when it appears.
Once the update process is complete, click "OK" and click "Finish."
Then go back to your downloaded files, this time double-click on the software upgrade file to launch software upgrade wizard. Follow steps 4 to 6.
Go to My Computer, and double-click the Broadband icon to install the new application software.
Click "Yes" to uninstall the old application and re-install the new Tattoo application software.

HOW TO UNLOCK HUAWEI MODEM STICKS

A. HOW TO GET YOUR UNLOCK CODE

Proceed here: http://www.modemunlock.com/huawei-code-calculator/
Type your IMEI on the type box. (To get your IMEI, Go to Dashboard>Tools>Diagnostics)
Do not close the tab. You will need the codes for the next phase.

B. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION OF NEW DASHBOARD

Install the dashboard. *Do not uninstall the old dashboard.*

C. UNLOCKING PROCESS

Remove your modem stick, replace it with other sim. (Kung sa Globe locked, use Smart or Sun. Kung sa Smart naman, use Globe or Sun.)
Insert the dongle. Use the newly installed Dashboard.
It should ask you to input the unlock code. Use the new algo, if it didn't work, use the old.

Tested on Globe Tattoo 4G Flash (Huawei E357)
