1. First is you must turn off your phone. next press Power button for 2 seconds then press Volume Up while pressing power button. release them both if you see a select boot mode as shown on image below. Then select Recovery and press Volume Down to OK.
2. This is the hardest part, now you are in recovery mode. Press both Power Button and Volume Up for few second to display the Android Recovery Menu.
Note: Pressing both button may not work sometimes, you can try other button combination like power button only or power button and volume down and so on.
3. If you passed step two, then you are halfway to finish line
. Use Volume Up/Down to select Wipe data/Factory reset then press Power to OK.
4. Use again the volume up/down and select Yes -- delete all user data then press Power to OK.
5. You will see Wiping data... below, wait for a few minutes depend on how much is your data.
6. After wiping data, you will go back to Android Recovery menu now Reboot system now to restart your phone.
7. Your phone now is fresh formatted, it took long sometimes in start up but in the first time only. here is the pictures of Cherry Mobile TOUCH XL 2 desktop screen.
