Apple has updated iOS to use a six digit numeric passcode PIN by default. Previous versions of the operating system would prompt users to setup a four digit passcode.
While a six digit passcode is more secure, you may want to consider changing your code to an even more secure alphanumeric one. You can find instructions on how to do that here.
