1. Open the p0sixspwn utility after downloading it and place the Jailbreak tool in an easy-to-access location on your computer
Note: If you can’t open p0sixspwn, ensure that the option to allow apps downloaded “anywhere†is checked inside the “Security & Privacy†portion of the System Preferences app.
2. Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your computer via a standard USB cable and click “Jailbreakâ€.
If you have a passcode set, you should disable it before performing this step.
3. Leave your device connected, do not unplug it and do not unlock it while the Jailbreak is still in progress. Once p0sixspwn reports that your device has been Jailbroken, it’s safe to unlock and open Cydia. At this point, leave Cydia open until your device automatically resprings on its own.
Untethered: Your iOS-based device is Untethered, which means you won’t be required to plug in via a USB cable and re-run a portion of the p0sixspwn utility every time you wish to reboot – simply power your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch off and back on again.
