PROBLEM: No Power and Display
HISTORY: Nabagsak ni customer. Gumana pa raw pero the following day wala na. No power kahit e plug yung
charger.
TROUBLESHOOT:
1. Bukas ko na agad ang unit
2. Tested and working ang charger, may kuryente
3. Tested meron voltage umabot sa motherboard
4. Trace and check CAPACITORS sa Power Supply area ng board
5. Replace sirang capacitor
6. Plug charger.... Nag ON na ang unit pero walang display (meron sounds during boot)
7. Test EXTERNAL DISPLAY (HDMI ginamit ko)... WORKING
8. Disconnect LCD Connector, may ilang pins na corroded
9. Clean corroded pins and test connection (continuity test lang)
10. TEST unit again, meron na display sa LCD.
11. Assemble unit, test again with games.... SAINTS ROW ginamit ko. So far kahit ramdam na sa keyboard yung init galing sa ilalim no sudden shutdowns na.
NOTE (No Pics kasi):
May overheating complains din si customer sa laptop, so check ko na din yung THERMAL PASTE condition ng Processor and Graphics chip. Mejo matigas na yung paste and halatang poor condition na. Since AMD yung Graphics chip niya talagang mainit na mainit ito under GAMING conditions.
Nilinis ko na yung lumang Thermal Paste, and instead na lagyan lang ng bago ay THERMAL PADS na ang nilagay ko. Kunting paste nalang sa gilid ng pads para additional support sa pag transfer ng init towards the heat sink.
