Compatibility: Verify your phone’s model from Settings > About Phone and make sure you have the STF-L09 variant that’s already running a C432 based firmware.
You also need to make sure your bootloader is unlocked and USB Debugging is enabled in the developer options.
Step 1. Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable as a mass storage device.
Step 2. Next, download the Huawei Honor 9 updater tool (click here) and extract the zip file to the top level directory of your C:\ drive. You will get a folder named HWOTA which contains the updater script.
Step 3. Download & rename the update files (update.zip, cust and public data) provided above and copy them to C:\HWOTA\update folder on your PC
Your files on your computer should look like this:
C:\HWOTA\update\update.zip
C:\HWOTA\update\update_data_public.zip
C:\HWOTA\update\update_all_hw.zip
Step 4. Now open the HWOTA folder and execute the update.bat file as administrator.
Step 5. The updater tool will appear on the screen and ask you to enter the update source. Type 2 and press the enter key.
Step 6. Next, it’ll ask you the flash method. If your phone already has a European (C432) firmware, type 1 and press the enter key.
Step 7. After that, follow the onscreen instructions and do not disconnect the USB cable or press any button until it allows you to.
