How do I reset my phone to factory settings?
Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device.
WARNING: When using this feature; everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the MicroSD will be affected.
Important Note: Your contact and email information is automatically backed up to the Gmail server. Your information will be restored when you login with your user name and a password.
To Perform a Reset
Press Menu
Touch Settings
Touch Privacy
Touch Factory data reset
Touch Reset Phone
Touch Erase Everything
Note: You cannot reset/clear your phone remotely if it is lost or stolen.
Perform a factory reset using external keys
Note: It is highly recommended you use the above factory reset using the settings. Making a mistake using the factory reset using external key method could have very bad consequences.
If you are unable to navigate through the menu to perform a factory data reset, you can follow the steps outlined below:

If you are unable to navigate through the menu to perform a factory data reset, you can follow the steps outlined below:
A) Insert battery and power on phone while pressing "X" key on qwerty keypad - release "X" key after you see MOT batwings.
B) You should now see an ! in a triangle with Android guy. Press the "Search" key on qwerty keypad to enter factory menu.
C) Use Vol Up / Vol down to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset" and then use Camera side key to select "wipe data/factory reset"
D) Use Vol Up / Vol down to navigate to "Yes - delete all user data" and then use Camera key to select "Yes - delete all user data"
E) Wait for operation to complete (maybe 1 minute or so) and then press camera key to select "reboot system now"

Power the device off.
Note Press the Power button then select Power off.
Note If the device doesn't respond to input, remove and replace the battery
Slide the keyboard open.
Press and hold the Power button+X key simultaneuously until the Recovery screen (exclamation point with an android figure) appears.
Slide keyboard closed then simultaneuously press the volume up+down keys.
Press Volume down to select wipe data/factory reset the press the Power button.
Note Utilize the Volume keys (up / down) to select.
Press Volume down to select Yes -- delete all user data then press the Power button.
Note Factory reset process may take several moments to complete.
Ensure reboot system now is selected then press the Power button.
