FTP is short for File Transfer Protocol, as the name says, it's a type of protocol used for transferring files either remotely(from your local PC network connection to outside networks) or your local network connection(lahat ng PC na connected sa router niyo po for example).
Meron pong application na dedicated only for FTP like Filezilla or WinSCP which is, you need to install sa PC. Itong post po ni sir Intoy ay FTP application installed within Firefox browser which is just an option para hindi na po kailangan pang mag install ng files within your system.
Mostly po itong ginagamit ng mga web developers to transfer files sa server ng kanilang ginagawang website.
