Make Your Own ANT Software MTK USB Cable
TOOLS NEEDED:
A wire cutter, razor blade (or something that is sharp), screw driver
you will need, for this purpose, a THROUGH-SWITCH (I bought it from a local hardware store for 40pesos)
a good-quality USB cable (I bought this USB cable for 80pesos)
choose a USB cable with a longer tip:
PROCEDURE:
1. With the screw driver, open the THROUGH-SWITCH:
2. Now, measure the USB cable that you are to put inside the switch (I did mine at about 2 inches and 6 inches going out from the switch)
3. With a razor blade, peel off the outside insulation of the cable, be careful not to cut the inner wires ( I almost cut mine)
4. Using the wire cutter, cut the positive terminal (in my case it is the red wire. I think it is the standard color for the positive terminal in any USB cable)
5. Connect the wires to the switch terminals (see the images)
6. All done!
WHAT'S THE USE OF THIS SPECIALIZED CABLE?
IT IS USED DURING THE ROOT SHELL FUNCTION OF ANT SOFTWARE IN MTK MODULE.
IN ANT SOFTWARE, I CALL THIS PROCESS AS RE-SYNC
IN MOST CASES, WITHOUT RE-SYNCING, THE SOFTWARE HANGS, THUS THE SOLUTION.
Now, let's work.
