Having trouble updating Lenovo a6000 automatically or by using stock recovery....
Just follow the steps and it will come to light....
Procedures:
1. Install twrp recovery- it can be adb method or by flashing rashr apk(phone must be rooted)

2.Copy the zip file to your phone.You can put it wherever you want.

3. Go to twrp recovery by pressing the power, +volume and -volume at the same time.
4. Install the zip files system first then wipe cache and dalvik cache. (Don't panic if it stuck - patience is a virtue)
5. Finally, Install the Philippines OTA zip and after that reboot.
Now you have a lollipop os.
